Date of failure: 18.12.2023

Flight team Ltd – ATOL 10852 has ceased trading as an ATOL holder on 18 December 2023.

The company held an ATOL up until 30 September 2023. Bookings and payments made after 30 October 2023 are not ATOL Protected.

The company based in Wimbledon traded under the names Flight Team, Business Flights, Majestic Resorts and websites www.businessflights.co.uk, www.flightteam.co.uk and www.majesticresorts.co.uk.

Bookings sold without a flight element are not covered by the ATOL scheme and consumers should contact their local Citizens Advice Bureau, their bank or card issuers and/or travel insurance for further assistance.

Flight Team Ltd sold holidays as an agent for other ATOL holders. Consumers with an ATOL Certificate showing a different ATOL holder’s name in the Who is protecting your trip? section, should contact that ATOL holder for further assistance. These bookings are their responsibility and consumers will not be able to submit a claim under the ATOL scheme.

The following information is for Flight Team Ltd ATOL protected bookings. ATOL protected consumers are those that booked:

An ATOL protected flight inclusive Package protected by Flight Team Ltd

Your ATOL Certificate will say ‘Package Multi-Contract’ in the bottom right-hand corner. Flight Team Ltd’s ATOL number 10852 will also be shown in the box to the left of this.

An ATOL protected Flight-Only booking protected by Flight Team Ltd

A limited number of the flights sold by Flight Team Ltd were ATOL protected, and these were typically for flights secured with just a deposit (rather than payment of the full cost of the flight).

Unprotected flights were those where full payment was made at the time of booking and a ticket was issued straightaway. The best way to determine if your flight was ATOL protected is to check your paperwork.

If you booked an ATOL protected flight, you should have been issued with an ATOL Certificate, at the time of booking, which says ‘Flight-Only’ in the bottom right-hand corner. Flight Team Ltd’s ATOL number 10852 will also be shown in the box to the left of this.

Time limit for making a claim to ATOL by 17 December 2024.

The UK CAA has the power to prosecute offences related to its statutory functions. Person(s) who make fraudulent ATOL claims, following the failure of an ATOL holder, may be prosecuted by the UK CAA for offences under section 1 of the Fraud Act 2006. The maximum sentence for this offence is 10 years’ imprisonment.

When completing the ATOL claim form:

  • Use your most recent ATOL Certificate Number, found on the bottom left corner of the ATOL Certificate issued to you by Flight Team Ltd. • Use your original date of booking.
  • Enter 00:00 if you do not know your flight times.
  • Complete “Your Details” section and tick if you are the lead passenger prior to using the lookup address function. You may need to enter your address manually if you encounter any error.
